Christine is a Research Scientist I at IPaT, specializing in HCI research and UX/UI design. She holds a B.S. in Interactive Design, a M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction, and is currently a Human-Centered Ph.D. student at Georgia Tech. She brings a wealth of knowledge surrounding human-centered design principles guided by user-centric research. She has experience with a variety of qualitative research methods, such as semi-structured interviews, diary studies, surveys, contextual inquiries, and more, which inform technical design decisions in Figma. She’s currently leading multiple initiatives in the Animal Lab, where she has deployed an trigger-based misting system to provide environmental agency for the prehensile-tailed skinks at Zoo Atlanta. She is also spearheading design and research for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Pillar 1 initiative, designing dashboards for clinicians to detect patient deterioration quicker and ultimately save time and lives.
