Amara Katabarwa
Senior Research Scientist

Amara got his PhD from UGA in 2019 in near term quantum computing. He moved to Massachusetts in order to work at Zapata AI. There he did research in quantum error mitigation, benchmarking near term quantum algorithms. He later moved into researching fault tolerant algorithms and trying to find valuable use cases for quantum computer. He arrived at GTRI in 2025 where he does research in fault tolerant quantum error correction architectures and fault tolerant quantum algorithms.
